Meet Jannis
Hi, I'm Jannis — a Tokyo-based photographer with a passion for cinematic storytelling.
A shoot with me should feel like doing a photoshoot with a friend — one who happens to be a professional at catching the candid moments in between. I'm fluent in English, German, and Japanese, so everything happens in your language.
My goal is to give you more than photos: a genuinely great memory of your time in Japan, and photographs that take you straight back to it.

Frames composed like film stills — natural light, honest color, and Tokyo as your set. No stiff poses, no flash-lit lineups.
Relaxed, not staged
A professional shoot that never feels like work. We settle into the location, explore a little, and let candid moments surface between shots.
Your language
Every direction, every plan, every joke along the way — in fluent English, German, or Japanese. Nothing gets lost in translation, so nothing feels stiff.

Jannis is a fantastic photographer. My pictures came out amazing. My pics were for my 51st birthday, but people say i look much younger in the pics he took of me. He was super quick getting the photos back and even took video. He also gave great recommendations to restaurants to try while in Japan. I would highly recommend Jannis.
